Cover to Cover Quintet
Cover to Cover is an Austin-based wind quintet that creates new ways for audiences of all ages to experience classical music. The ensemble prioritizes utilizing multimedia elements whenever possible to create accessible and enriching experiences for concert-goers. Musical storytelling, immersive audio-visual performances, and inventive reimaginations of classic works are key components of Cover to Cover’s programing.

The group began in 2022 when all the members were students at UT’s Butler School of Music. It became clear after the first summer concert series in 2023 that Cover to Cover was here to stay. Cover to Cover has performed at KMFA’s Draylen Mason Music Studio as a part of their midday concert series and presented a lecture-recital at ACMC’s Summer Education Workshop. The quintet has also performed at Dell Medical Center, Batch Craft Beer, and other locations across Austin.

Cover to Cover’s 2023 Summer Program was a musical story time including Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and Ravel’s Mother Goose with projections, original and new narrations, and educational activities. The group has a large repertoire of music that covers a wide variety of genres, time periods, and composers.

Although we are a modified woodwind quintet (trombone instead of horn), we love working with each other and adapting a range of works for our unique instruments. We each bring a unique set of skills and understanding to the group and it is our goal to spread the joy we feel in playing with each other to our listeners.
